Mission of the Centre
To encourage professional development of new generation
of social entrepreneurs and to promote the civil society
in
Russia.
Research and educational Centre for Social Entrepreneurship
is a division of Life-Long learning Institute at Novosibirsk
State Technical University. It was established within the
framework of Tempus TACIS project “Social work: better
government” by
the project consortium members such as London School of
Economics (Great Britain), the University of Bologna
(Italy) and the
University of Muenster (Germany).
The activity of the Centre is aimed at promotion and further
development of a viable, integrated system to educate professionals
in the field of social service and NGO management.
The main activities of the Centre for Social Entrepreneurship
(CSE):
1. CSE provides education for students and professionals
involved in the field of social service and NGO management
(Social projects
development, Fundraising, Project management courses).
The Centre designs and tests new methodical materials for
education
in the field of social entrepreneurship and project-management.
CSE administrates its own library.
2. CSE creates and develops the special environment to
facilitate the creative ways of social activity and realization
of potential
of participants of educational process.
3. To ensure the continuity of educational process CSE
provides students, master students and post-graduates with
an opportunity
to combine their studies with teaching practice in SCE.
4. CSE conducts forums, conferences, seminars, competitions,
exhibitions, round table discussions and other events and
actions to attract the public’s and mass-media’s attention
to topical
social issues and to promote the innovative solutions.
5. CSE develops and implements (both at local and international
levels) complex projects in research and educational spheres
to facilitate social activity and realization of creative
potential of participants involved.
6. CSE develops international contacts of NSTU in the field
of education, training and retraining of managers involved
in social service and NGO management.
